Is anyone at Revolution Health participating in the National Women’s Health Week WOMAN Challenge?  Its a virtual walk across the
country (U.S.) as part of an eight-week physical activity challenge.
Basically you are supposed to try to walk 10,000 steps or get 30 minutes
of moderate exercise every day.  See more here: http://www.womenshealth.gov/woman/index.cfm

I am going to do it, or at least try to.  They have sort of virtual
teams to participate in it together and I created one.   I signed up for the cross country route which
starts in San Francisco. Of course since its virtual, anyone from
    anywhere can join.

That’s a TERRIFIC idea, Trisha! I just joined and started a team. In order to add members to my team I need to select their name from a list. If you’d like to be on my team, please let me know what your username is on the Woman Challenge site. If anyone else would like to sign up, please post your username so I can add you too!

I was wondering on the recent article by Laura Winchester why she did not mention yearly dental exams, on her list of what tests to have yearly. There was no area for comments on this article- but it reallty is important to take care of our oral health as well, Thanks!!

Book Review: Is Empathy Learned By Faking It Till It’s Real?

The Spirit Of The Place: Samuel Shem’s New Book May Depress You

When I was in medical school I read Samuel Shem s House Of God as a right of passage. At the time I found it to be a cynical yet eerily accurate portrayal of the underbelly of academic medicine. I gained comfort from its gallows humor and it made me…

Eat To Save Your Life: Another Half-True Diet Book

I am hesitant to review diet books because they are so often a tangled mess of fact and fiction. Teasing out their truth from falsehood is about as exhausting as delousing a long-haired elementary school student. However after being approached by the authors’ PR agency with the promise of a…
